Venessa Marie Perry, PhD, MPH
Founder & CEO
Dr. Venessa has over twenty-five years of experience positioning organizations for growth by providing vision, strategy, and operational execution. Working with government, for-profit, and non-profit organizations, she has extensive experience in domestic and international public health and health policy, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational change, leadership development, and program evaluation.
Dr. Venessa has led major organizational change processes, developed and implemented policies in healthcare, technology, financial services, and education for government, corporations, and non-profit entities.
As an organizational leadership consultant and executive coach, she provides performance management training and techniques to build diverse, high-performing teams to ensure talent retention and sustainability. Venessa is passionate about helping organizations create long-term, transformational change by working in partnership with managers, directors, and C-suite executives to help them deliver real impact to their customers and clients.
Venessa is a frequent contributor to Forbes, Medium, Huffington Post, Thrive Global, Best Life, and Bustle.
A veteran of the US Army where she served for 10 years, she holds a Bachelors in Biology, Master’s in Public Health, and a Doctorate in Psychology. She was a Kellogg Emerging Leaders in Public Health Fellow.
Cecelia Thomas, Esq
Consultant
Cecelia Thomas is a government relations professional who leads advocacy around infectious disease and other public health issues, including funding for prevention for organizations like Trust For Americas Health.
Most recently, Cecelia served as Manager of Legislative Affairs for Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund where she advocated to protect federal funding for health centers, implemented PPFA’s legislative strategy and co-led the National Sex Education Coalition. Prior to her time with PPFA, Cecelia was a senior advisor in the U.S House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Associate Director of Oversight at the U.S. Department of Commerce Office of the Secretary. She has also served on the staff of the U.S. House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs and the Office of Senator Bernie Sanders. Cecelia received her J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law and graduated cum laude from University of Michigan with a degree in political science.

Abby Agi, PhD

Dr. Abby Agi is an applied social and educational psychologist with 10 years of experience helping people become more effective leaders through a greater understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Abby has taught hundreds of students through courses like Stereotyping, Prejudice, and Discrimination. In 2021, she developed and implemented a DEI and leadership training program to empower youth to address racism and other forms of discrimination in their communities. Since January 2022, Abby has conducted pay equity and pay gap analyses for organizations, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Abby earned her BA in Psychology at York University, her MA in Applied Social Psychology at the University of Windsor, and her PhD in Education and Psychology at the University of Michigan.

John Leonard Harris is a native of St. Louis Missouri who currently resides in Lincoln, Nebraska. Mr. Harris is a dynamic keynote and conference speaker, award-winning writer, poet and actor.
John has provided workshops and training for over 20 years in the areas of: corporate culture, workplace diversity, leadership, motivation, personal and professional growth, organizational effectiveness, team building and employment (hiring, job search tools and techniques).
John has worked as a consultant, training partner and employee coach for TAG Consulting and Insignia Federal Group, both in Fairfax, Virginia. He has worked as a Subject Matter Expert for Continuum Employee Assistance Program (Lincoln, Nebraska) and Southern Glazer’s Distributors (Dallas, Texas). He is a skilled consultant, employee coach, program developer and workshop facilitator. John always receives excellent reviews for his program design, delivery and content impact. Amani Nuru Jeter, PhD, MPH

Amani is an Associate Professor of Community Health Sciences and Epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Public Health, where her research focuses on race and socioeconomic health disparities and the measurement and study of racism as a social determinant of health.
Amani holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, a Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University, and a PhD from Johns Hopkins University.

Jozet Channey, PhD

Jozet is a Research Area Specialist within the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the University of Michigan.
Her primary responsibilities include supporting evaluation and assessment for Wolverine Pathways and the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives. In her previous role, she led survey redesign and administration, data management, data analysis, and report writing for ADVANCE’s U-M campus-wide faculty climate project. Dr. Channey’s research focuses on the examination of how adults’ beliefs and corresponding actions shape learning environments for racially and ethnically diverse youth. With a background in quantitative and qualitative research methods, she brings substantial expertise and teaching experience to her role. Dr. Channey holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Education and Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Tangier is an I/O psychologist experienced in organizational data insights and analytics specializing in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
She has experience with advanced statistical analyses and leverages data to inform insights around organizational development. Her work drives strategic decisions and the development of inclusive people-related strategies.
